The Québec Delivery Calendar: Holidays, Construction Weeks and Retail Peaks to the End of 2027

Three kinds of dates change a Québec delivery plan: public holidays, construction holiday weeks and retail peaks. This calendar lists them for the rest of 2026 and all of 2027, with weekdays, and says what each one means for orders, cutoffs and capacity. Dates last checked on October 28, 2026.

The short version

  • Québec has eight statutory holidays. Several fall on a Monday in 2027, and Christmas Day falls on a Saturday.
  • The construction industry's summer vacation in 2027 runs July 25 to August 7, and its winter vacation starts December 19.
  • Black Friday in 2027 is November 26 and Cyber Monday is November 29. In 2026 they are November 27 and November 30.
  • Plan cutoffs and capacity before each date, not after. Tell customers the last order date for each holiday.
  • Confirm any date that matters to you with the official source. Rules and observed dates can change.

Which public holidays fall in 2027?

The CNESST lists eight statutory holidays in Québec. Here is where each falls in 2027.

Holiday2027 dateDay
New Year's DayJanuary 1Friday
Good Friday or Easter Monday (employer's option)March 26 or March 29Friday or Monday
National Patriots' Day (Monday before May 25)May 24Monday
Fête nationale du QuébecJune 24Thursday
Canada DayJuly 1Thursday
Labour Day (first Monday of September)September 6Monday
Thanksgiving (second Monday of October)October 11Monday
Christmas DayDecember 25Saturday

Two points to note. First, Good Friday or Easter Monday is the employer's choice, so your courier, your suppliers and your customers' offices may not all pick the same day. Second, Christmas Day falls on a Saturday in 2027, so ask your courier and your team how weekend holidays are handled. Boxing Day and Remembrance Day are not on the CNESST list of statutory holidays.

When are the construction holiday weeks?

If you deliver to construction sites, trades or suppliers, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) calendar matters more than the public one. For 2027 it lists:

Orders for trades, parts and supplies often bunch just before these periods, as buyers stock up before the sites close. See how often to restock for a way to smooth that out.

How to use the calendar

  1. Mark the dates that touch your orders, your suppliers and your customers.
  2. For each, decide the last order date, the cutoff and the capacity you need.
  3. Tell your courier early. Dedicated routes can be scheduled around known peaks, and on-demand work benefits from notice. See dedicated routes.
  4. Tell your customers the last order date for each holiday, in both languages.
  5. Review the numbers afterwards: on-time rate, cost per delivery and exceptions in the peak week.
